Children with Speech Language and Communication Needs

Speech & Language Therapy

We provide reliable, dedicated Speech and Language Therapists, who work flexibly to support best outcomes for your children. With extensive experience setting up Speech and Language Therapy Services, our Therapists work collaboratively with staff, parents, and local agencies to bring specialised support to children with a range of communication needs.

Our Therapy Service includes...

Assessment

Assessment may include working with children one-on-one and using standardised tests, though will also include observing children in setting and speaking with the adults who know them best.

Advice & Strategies

Therapy is developed in partnership with staff, to make sure it links with learning and social needs as well as fitting smoothly into day to day activities and the overarching curriculum.

Direct therapy

We work with pupils individually, in small groups or in the classroom, using evidence based approaches. Ideally, a member of staff will work alongside so strategies can be modelled and reinforced to support best outcomes.

Reporting

We provide outcomes of assessments and in progress reports, providing guidance to support understanding of needs and implementation of best practice strategies. We also provide detailed diagnostic reports for the EHCP process.

How it works

We will work with you to identify priorities for the children in your setting as well as any training or support needs for your staff.

1

Let's chat

We'll have an initial chat  to determine the needs of your children and your school. Our therapists will work closely with your staff to pass on skills and strategies; to ensure the best outcomes for the children and development of skills and expertise in your staff.

2

Finding a Therapist

We'll provide a dedicated therapist to work with you on a full or half day basis. Therapists can be funded through school clusters, academy trusts, or other partnerships, which can ease budget challenges. This can be beneficial in supporting joint training sessions or intervention training if needed.

3

Service Level Agreement

We will provide an SLA so that you know exactly what to expect. We will then begin working with you and your children. You are still entitled to local NHS services and we work closely with local service providers to ensure we are not duplicating, but enhancing the service you currently receive.
